Courses
Field of biomaterials is an exciting one for researchers from various branches of science and engineering. The interest in this field is also growing in Turkey in general and especially at the Middle East Technical University (METU). Our university through METU-BIOMAT has always had a pioneering role and activities in the fields of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering in Turkey, and is also quite competitive on an international level. Our activities cover teaching, research, consulting and conferences for the dissemination of knowledge.
Teaching is carried out through various courses and the Biotechnology Research Unit (BRU) (Department of Biological Sciences, METU) contributes substantially to this by courses directly relevant with the Biomaterials field. These are Biomedical Materials and Instrumentation (BIO 414), Biomaterials (BIO 514), Macromolecules in Biomedicine and Biotechnology (BIO 554), and Controlled Release Systems and Drug targeting (BIO 580), Advanced Biomaterials (BIO 584),
The detailed information about courses can be found below.
